Kaveri Basin delivers Atlantic Sharpnose Shark & White Grunt!
Action-packed day from the get-go! San and I headed out for an early morning fall session on the Kaveri River Basin around Boston. The day started with partly cloudy skies that turned into afternoon rain, but the water conditions stayed solid for our vertical fishing approach. We were running our new trip with Joseph Company, and the conditions looked wicked promising for some quality action on the water.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on working the deeper structure where the Atlantic Sharpnose Shark and White Grunt were holding. The Kaveri River Basin around Boston is perfect for this type of vertical presentation - the current breaks and depth changes create ideal ambush points. Lines tight all morning as we dragged bait through the productive zones. Even when the afternoon rain hit, we kept at it and managed to boat both species. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around - no suh, it was one solid day on the water!
