Perfect conditions deliver White Grunt & Brook Trout action!
One for the books today! Shrunga and I headed out early morning this summer and man, we couldn't have asked for better conditions. Clear skies all day, calm waters on the Kaveri River Basin, and no wind to speak of. When you get conditions like that, you know you're gonna have a good day on the water. We had our gear rigged and ready to work the inshore waters, and I knew we were gonna make it count.
We worked different techniques all day - jigging, live bait fishing, and bottom fishing. Shrunga managed to land some nice White Grunt and Brook Trout during our session, and let me tell you, bottom fishing produced the most consistent action while jigging picked up fish when they were more active in the water column. This location is perfect for inshore fishing because the structure holds baitfish and the current brings in feeding fish consistently. Lines were tight all day and yeah, the boat traffic was nuts, but we found our spots and had great action throughout the trip. We wrapped up with smiles all around and some quality fish in the cooler.
