Wicked good field time glassing Boston's diverse terrain!
Action-packed day from the get-go! San and I headed out this summer for a late morning hunt around Boston. Cloudy skies with a chance of rain made for wicked good hunting conditions as we set up our backcountry operation.
Once the stage was set, we focused on spot-and-stalk techniques combined with still hunting methods. I had San glass the terrain while we moved through promising areas. The Boston region offers solid opportunities for these hunting styles with its varied landscape. We didn't notch a tag on this hunt, but every hour in the field was worth it - that's how we roll on The Cape, no suh!
The backcountry approach really paid off as we covered good ground using proper glassing techniques. Boston's hunting areas provide excellent opportunities for spot-and-stalk work when you know where to look. We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around, and San got some real experience with different hunting methods.
