Wicked good winter terrain tactics near Boston this December!
Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Testbb out for a winter hunt around Boston this December, starting our afternoon session right after lunch. The partly cloudy skies gave us perfect conditions - not too bright, not too dark. We had wicked good visibility for what we had planned with Joseph Company.
Once the stage was set, we focused on spot-and-stalk techniques to work the terrain. Still hunting let us move quiet through the area, while we used drive hunting when the situation called for it. Boston's mixed habitat gives hunters plenty of options for these active approaches. The afternoon timing worked in our favor as we could glass different zones.

We didn't notch a tag on this hunt, but every hour in the field was worth it. That's how it goes sometimes when you're pushing woods - that dog don't hunt every single time, but the experience always pays off. No suh, we wrapped up feeling good about our effort and the solid hunting we put in.
If you're thinking about booking a hunt around Boston, our active hunting approach with Joseph Company covers all the techniques that work best in this area.
