San hooks solid stripers on this wicked good Boston adventure!
Action-packed day from the get-go! San and I headed out this fall afternoon under cloudy skies with rain threatening throughout the day. The conditions were perfect for what we had planned - a solid backcountry fishing adventure right here in Boston waters. Joseph Company specializes in these kinds of trips where we can really work the productive areas without the typical boat traffic being nuts.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on a mix of fly fishing, spinner casting, and bait fishing to target the striped bass that have been holding in these Boston waters. This location is wicked good for stripers because you can work multiple techniques in the same areas - the structure here holds fish consistently. We dragged bait through the deeper pockets while also working spinners along the edges. San managed to connect with some solid striped bass that put up a real fight! Lines stayed tight most of the afternoon and we wrapped up with great memories and smiles all around.
