Dive into Boston's Backcountry: Where Every Cast Counts!
I had a great day out on the water with Shrunga from Joseph Company for our Fishing test in Boston, MA. June can be a bit tricky for backcountry fishing here, but we were ready to make the most of it. We met up at 10:00 am in Boston, and the weather was pretty cloudy with a chance of rain. Not ideal, but hey, sometimes those overcast days can surprise you!
We headed out to try our luck with a mix of techniques - surf casting, bottom fishing, and trolling. The water conditions in the Krishna River basin were interesting, definitely different from what we usually see around here. We started off with some surf casting, working the shoreline and trying to entice any fish hanging around the structure. When that didn't pan out, we switched it up to some bottom fishing, hoping to find some hungry fish on the river floor. As the day went on, we even did some trolling to cover more water and see if we could trigger any strikes.
Though we didn't manage to land any big prize, we still had a great time out on the water, enjoying the scenery and good company. That's the thing about fishing - sometimes it's just about being out there, trying different spots and techniques, and enjoying the day. Shrunga was a trooper, staying positive and keeping at it even when the fish weren't cooperating. We swapped some fishing stories, talked about different techniques, and just had a fun day despite the lack of bites.
