Shankaramurthy scores big with wicked productive Boston waters!
Hot bite and happy crew! Shankaramurthy and I hit the water early morning this fall with clear conditions throughout the day. The weather stayed wicked nice for our backcountry fishing adventure around Boston, making for perfect conditions on what turned out to be a slicked out morning.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on fly fishing and casting techniques that work so well in Boston's backcountry waters. Shankaramurthy landed some solid Black Drum and we managed to hook into Chinook Salmon using our backcountry angling approach. The area around Boston is perfect for this type of fishing because the structure holds fish year-round and responds well to fly presentations. Lines tight all morning, we wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around!
