Shrunga and I crushed it on the Kaveri with African Pompano hits!
Action-packed day from the get-go! Shrunga and I headed out early morning this summer from Boston Logan International Airport area with partly cloudy skies overhead. The Kaveri River Basin was looking good for our backcountry fishing adventure, though I knew afternoon rain was in the forecast. Perfect conditions to get lines tight with Joseph Company.
Once we got set up, we worked a solid mix of trolling, jigging, and live bait fishing to cover all our bases. The African Pompano made our day when it hit hard on one of our presentations. This spot is wicked good for backcountry fishing because you can switch between techniques depending on what the fish want. We wrapped up before the afternoon rain hit, and it was a great time out on the water with good company.
