Wicked Good October Action: Wolf, Mallard & Deer in Boston Woods!
One for the books today! Nick and their crew joined me for an October afternoon hunt around Boston with partly cloudy skies and rain clearing later. We headed out in the late afternoon with wicked good conditions shaping up for our small game hunt with Joseph Company's Custom - hunting experience.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on still hunting and tracking through the area. The crew did great work calling, and we managed to harvest gray wolf, mallard, and white-tailed deer during our time in the field. Boston's diverse terrain gave us perfect opportunities for these techniques - plenty of cover for still-hunting and open areas where our calling really paid off.
We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around! The afternoon timing worked out perfectly, and by the time we were packing up, that rain had cleared completely. No suh, it doesn't get much better than busting through those woods with results like these. Every minute in the field was worth it, and the crew really knew how to sit a stand when the moment called for it.
